215- Rising Star (3)
Then the rise from Bronze Tier 5 to Bronze Tier 6 was underway. The enemies were six individuals who had reached intent in their weapons.Kudungga, Goto and Chi You were relishing the experience that the enemy had given them. It caused them to polish their own armament intents and develop further toward perfection.
“The first opponent for the promotion to the Bronze Tier 6. How exciting.” Chi You grinned as he became one with his axes, then slowly let out axe intent and could even cleave the enemy, who was also using intent.
This proved that the intent Chi You possessed was higher than his opponent's.
His eyes were sharp as he comprehended more about his own axe intent. Even after defeating his opponent and being ejected from the arena space, his eyes never left his weapons.
Goto comprehended more about sword intent. Specifically, its sharpness and the ability to cut through the intangible.
Kudungga, on the other hand, comprehended the spear intent in the aspect of a single point when thrusting his spear. That single point was the way to break through many obstacles like armor and shields.
Tatsumi comprehended part of their intent to suit his own blade intent. The most surprising thing was that Ame gained the most insight into their intent.
Since she had to be able to change her weapons to suit the situation, she needed to comprehend numerous armament intents. Thus, she needed more examples, and the three forefathers became the nourishment for her own intent.
She did not even blink and kept watching the three forefathers enhance their intents. Slowly but surely, multicolored light started to emit from all over her body. She had reached a state of enlightenment.
This was thanks to the situation as well as the Advanced Insight (C) Auxiliary Ability card playing its effect.
Tatsumi then looked at her and guarded her, becoming her protector. Actually, both of them often did this whenever one of them achieved enlightenment. If Tatsumi were the one who gained enlightenment, she would be the one to protect him and vice versa.
He also tried to comprehend Ame’s armament intent to enhance his own Three Thousand Blade Intent and, subsequently, his Three Thousand Worlds state.
Only when it was Ame’s turn did Tatsumi remind her by tapping her shoulder.
Ame blinked and realized that it was her turn to go to the arena. There were quite a lot of matches, and each participant was allowed some time to rest and recover, but not much.
It was enough to gain enlightenment from the previous fight and recover.
Time passed, and then the sixth fight for the seniors arrived.
Chi You, Kudungga and Goto had achieved their win but they struggled to keep their battle prowess in check and only relied on their armament intent to fight.
Then it was Tatsumi’s turn. At this time, he had achieved more in the Three Thousand Worlds state. Although it was not perfect, it was already suitable to be put into a fight.
The arena space perfectly recreated the physical body as well as the transcendent energy. Even the weapon of the participant was created from their memories of it.
Tatsumi then instinctively grabbed the hilt of the Dragonsbane replica and then unsheathed it.
The opponent this time was also a blade user. The opponent was actually a Stonekin, a spirit stone that had awakened their sentience after being in the transcendent energy environment for so long, immersed in it.
Tatsumi looked sharply at the Stonekin and that allowed him to see the lines where he should cut the opponent.
But of course, the opponent could also see where he could cut Tatsumi down too.
Putting aside battle prowess, their intent was actually quite close to each other. Tatsumi did not even use Three Thousand Blade Intent as that was overkill but using one blade intent to the pinnacle was a must.
Therefore, he used the one most familiar to him. Violet Sun Blade Intent.
Violet Sun Blade Intent – Violet Cut from the East.
Tatsumi began with a cut move; his right leg took a step forward while he unleashed a flying cut. This was a test and also a provocation.
The Stonekin then replied with a slash of his own. It was actually a blade intent of his own.
Waterdrop Blade Intent – Water Drip Open the Stone.
If Tatsumi’s blade intent was a violet color that rose, then the Stonekin’s was like water dripping down on the stone and made a hole in it in a steady manner. That was why the blade intent felt like numerous water droplets fused into one.
Tatsumi’s momentum was one big change in the environment while the Stonekin was like a small thing making a big change.
The two blade intents then clashed, causing the space around the clash to distort and several colors to appear. Violet and blue intertwined and clashed against each other.
The Stonekin’s blade was actually created from the Spirit Stone while Tatsumi’s Dragonsbane was made of Dragonbone, Adamant, and Orichalcum.
This was a clash of quality. Tatsumi then took half a step back while the Stonekin took a full step back.
Tatsumi narrowed his eyes. He discovered that his intent was slightly stronger than the Stonekin's. Therefore, using this intent was enough since this was the sixth match and also the last before he was promoted to Bronze Tier 6.
The only thing that remained was technique. That would decide the match.
The Stonekin let out something like a scream that surpassed the normal level of hearing. For a transcendent, his voice was like a battle cry.
Then the Stonekin’s stony surface started to glow with a grey-blue color. Tatsumi could feel that the Stonekin was making his own body hard and compact. The effect was immediate upon his weapon.
The blade became like the Stonekin’s body, hard, durable, and could bear most impacts. Even Tatsumi’s sight, which usually showed the enemy’s weakness, had been reduced so much that the weaknesses became so few.
‘Oh, so this is the strengthening method of the Stonekin.’ Tatsumi had to admit that there were various races out there with unique characteristics so he should not be arrogant.
But he had a slight smile on the corner of his lips. He then let the dragon’s blood flow through his energy channel. His eyes slightly changed, and the aura he emitted was unexpectedly dangerous.
This was just a normal state when the dragon’s blood flowed through the blood circulation. But the increase in power was so great that it could even overwhelm his current opponent.
The Stonekin felt as if he met an apex predator that he could not describe. Furthermore, fear began t crept into his very being, affecting the Waterdrop Blade Intent.
Tatsumi’s Violet Sun Blade Intent, on the other hand, became as hot as the sun in midday. The scorching intent was finally released along with the instinctual Primal Fear.
The aura alone was terrifying but with the addition of the strengthened Violet Sun Blade Intent, Tatsumi had dominated the match.
But Tatsumi wanted to see how the Stonekin struggled. More often than not, inspiration could come to those cornered.
And then the Stonekin felt that his very being was threatening to disappear if he did not eliminate the threat in front of him.
The spectators were cheering wildly. They realized that Tatsumi was not only strong but also an Eminent Dragon Slayer. That was so rare that the spectators locked their gazes on Tatsumi.
The Primal Fear was unmistakably the mark of the Dragon Slayer so the spectators all became excited. They also realized that Tatsumi wanted to make the match more interesting than just winning it.
The Stonekin felt humiliated by this but at the same time realized that the need for strength became greater. So he started thinking hard.
He then gained enlightenment on his own, transforming his Waterdrop Blade Intent into the Waterworld of Stone and Reef.
Tatsumi also noticed this transformation. He absorbed the phenomenon into his own additional blade intent, then, after establishing the intent properly in himself, formed the world.
But the world merged into the Three Thousand Worlds state, so it went unnoticed except for a few from Dian’s group.
‘Waterdrop Blade Intent. So this is the essence of the intent. The transformed state is even greater.’ Tatsumi thought while preparing his stance since he had seen enough.
But his opponent was even more amazing since he transformed the Waterdrop Blade Intent into the Waterworld of Stone and Reef.
As the Stonekin’s intent was released, his surroundings were changing according to his intent. The Waterworld of Stone and Reef became manifest.
Tatsumi then charged his Violet Sun Illumination World to clash with the Stonekin’s Waterworld of Stone and Reef.
Water met extreme heat along with the stone and the reef. Tatsumi’s transformed world was actually more terrifying since it was due to the violet sun illuminating everything around Tatsumi.
The Stonekin’s world, on the other hand, was a bit more complicated but due to that, it could withstand Tatsumi’s world for a while.
The Stonekin then moved forward, blade in hand and swung it toward the Violet Sun Illumination World. Tatsumi did not want to lose out, so he unleashed his slash at the Stonekin’s attack.
The two worlds then were clashing so greatly that the arena space quaked in its place, barely containing the two clashes.
The ground of the arena cracked, then gave way, creating a huge hole.
The two had to float to prevent being downed along with the ground. But Tatsumi’s Violet Sun Illumination World was proven to be more domineering than the Waterworld of Stone and Reef.
The Violet Sun boiled the Waterworld so efficiently that the water evaporated; the stones and reefs were melting due to the high temperature.
Tatsumi only exerted a slight effort while the Stonekin felt like his mental world was burning along with his physical body.
The Stonekin let out a roar before he completely melted under the Violet Sun.
Tatsumi then retracted the Violet Sun Illumination World, while letting out a breath of content. Of course, he did this because he knew that his victory was certain.
‘Unleashing the Violet Sun Illumination World along with circulating the dragon’s blood is a bit overkill, but I know now that, empowered by the dragon’s blood, the formed world will be enhanced so greatly.’ Tatsumi thought to himself as he looked at the result.
Then brilliant light appeared and the Stonekin was revived. The Stonekin looked at Tatsumi before he let out a sigh.
That marked the sixth match Tatsumi had to do and he was now promoted to Bronze Tier 6.
Then the two contestants were ejected from the arena space which had been damaged greatly. The arena then underwent self-repair before it returned to the pristine and clear arena that the individuals knew of.
The match was well done and the spectators were excited.
“That is the world manifested after someone understands intent, right?”
“The clash between the world domains is exciting. But sadly, the human’s is overwhelming so we don’t know the full extent of his world’s power.”
“But still to comprehend the world domain when one is Rank 3 transcendent…that can be called talented.”
Tatsumi could faintly hear the comments from the spectators and he understood that the so-called world domain was actually the world manifestation from his intent.
But he had already comprehended Three Thousand Blade Intent, even forming them into Three Thousand Worlds, albeit still in the development phase.
Then it was Ame’s turn. After seeing Tatsumi’s handling of the Violet Sun Illumination World, Ame finally comprehended another intent suitable for her. She could not wait to test it and even changed it into the world manifestation.
“Good luck out there.” Tatsumi said to her before she was sent off to the arena space.
Ame then traced her Myriad Manifestation Umbrella. The materials were actually the very adamantium, which was very rare and hard to produce. It was upgraded so that it could keep up with her fast progress.
When she landed her gaze on the opponent, she realized that the opponent this time was a giant. She squinted her eyes, looking for the very weakness she could exploit.
Meanwhile, the giant was looking down before he could see his opponent.
The ground of the arena trembled whenever he made a slight move.
The spectators were cheering excitedly. They knew that the match would be exciting either way.
Ame breathed out and transformed her weapon into a hot weapon. She had to ascertain some things herself before deciding her next move.
Therefore, she sniped the giant right on his acupressure point. She did this to test two things: first, the opponent's reaction time. Second was to test the durability of the giant’s body itself.
The giant’s body was resilient enough that only a white streak could be seen on the point of impact from the bullet of the sniper. Furthermore, the giant's reflexes were good.
‘Big and fast. That is the standard for an experienced giant.’ Ame finished her assessment and coldly looked at the giant, then transformed her weapon into twin knives.
She decided to get close and personal with the giant. The giant then dashed toward her at high speed since he used a movement technique.
Ame could already saw the trajectory of the giant’s movement and the estimation of his arrival so she just needed to adjust her own position. She shifted slightly to the right before she slashed her twin knives at the giant.
The giant roared as he felt pain for the first time but Ame had already created afterimages in her wake of movements. She circled the giant, unleashing another attack at the tendons of the giant to try to cripple him in one move.
But the giant instead leaned on his two hands and raised his legs, kicking out at Ame. Ame barely dodged when another kick arrived and she slashed at the incoming kick.
The wind was enough to make a line of red on Ame’s cheek while the giant’s leg was cut at its tendon.
Ame swiftly gained distance and wiped the blood that came out from the scratch. The giant, however, was grabbing his injured leg but then a determined expression was apparent on his face.
Ame’s senses went on alert as she started to zigzag as the giant pounded on the ground and caused the appearance of earth spikes. Ame was dodging those spikes while now letting out her armament intent.
Her intent was dependent on the current form of her weapon. She managed to injure the giant’s leg thanks to her knife intent, which cut through the defenses of the giant.
The giant then also let out his intent. His intent was infused with the ground itself. Ame realized that the entire ground became the giant’s helper.
Ame had no choice but to jump and float so as not to be bogged down by the giant’s intent.
Then she let out her intent in full, not bothering to conceal it anymore. Her intent was actually something she had obtained after understanding various weapons in the human civilization.
Ten Thousand Weapon Intent- Myriad Manifestation.
Ame’s eyes glowed with silver light as she manifested her intent in her weapons. It changed according to the weapon’s form and it was just the peak of intent, not on the level of the world manifestation Tatsumi had achieved.
To be truthful, she almost reached the level of world manifestation but found that her intent was lacking for forming the world’s domain.
That was why she wanted to test herself in this manner; to find a light in the darkness on her path, she needed to trailblaze it and make a breakthrough.
Therefore, she let out her intent so strongly. But the giant did not lose out in intent, as it was the standard for the last opponent for the promotion to the Bronze Tier 6.
Earthen Transformation Intent – Quickswamp.
The giant made the ground of the arena his greatest ally, making Ame float to the air to prevent being beaten on the enemy's turf.
Ame then changed her weapon once more, a heavy machine gun filled with intent was shot at the giant. The machine gun’s bullet caliber was on the tens of millimeters so the damage was significant at the effective range. Add Ame’s intent to the bullet launched and the giant felt prickly all over his body and felt annoyed that the giant threw some parts of the arena ground to Ame.
This exchange happened quickly, and Ame then changed back into a sniper. She shot toward the giant and the giant felt the deadly threat the bullet had and quickly moved his body to try to evade.
But it hit some part of the giant’s face, causing a big injury on the giant’s cheek, as if this was a retaliation for the previous exchange.
Ame then dived from her height, while at the same time changing her weapon back to a spear. She let out her intent and the giant this time focused his gaze on her.
Ame then thrusted the spear and the ultimate point of the spear tip let out her intent as intended. But the giant formed defensive walls and also earthen spikes to counter her.
Numerous spikes hit the tip of the spear but the spear felt so sharp and deadly that it penetrated through the spikes, even hitting the walls of earth that the giant had created.
But that was when Ame’s spear intent was exhausted and the giant’s defensive wall collapsed but Ame had a sudden understanding of her own path due to the giant’s usage of his intent to dominate the entire environment.
‘I see…that can be possible, after all.’ Ame thought before she let out her own world manifestation.
Spear World – Spear God Thrust
Then she thrusted once more but this time, even the giant’s expression turned into shock as he was unable to stop the thrust of the spear at all even when he had raised another earthen wall.
The wall collapsed, and the giant roared in one last defiant act. But Ame finished him off by hitting him on his forehead, headshotting him.
Ame twirled the spear and changed it back into an umbrella, and she opened it, covering her from the spraying blood that rained on the arena space.
