Planet Master

217- Interstellar Era

217- Interstellar Era

For the overall development of the civilization into an interstellar civilization, they needed the capability to send manned crews to other star systems. That was the hallmark of an interstellar civilization.Dian sighed. Although the civilization had entered the Interstellar Era, it did not mean they were truly at that level yet. The development of interstellar weapons, the food industry, entertainment as well as culture and ideology were indispensable for the Interstellar Civilization.

Because there was a chance they would encounter the remnants of a once-stronger civilization that had fallen. Furthermore, the pinnacle of the standard T4 Technology, or Transcendent Tree, was hard enough that participating in a special Star Battle was only enough to reach the pinnacle of the Technology or Transcendent Tree.

Dian planned for his civilization to reach almost the pinnacle of the T4 Technology Tree and T3 Transcendent Tree of the human civilization.

His eyes glinted with light as he looked at the various parameters of the overall Hinon Federation in the system panels.

As of right now, the territory of the Hinon Federation had reached the surrounding star systems.

Year Three Hundred Forty-Five of the Father God Calendar.

That was the current time of the civilization according to the time the Father God first appeared.

In just three hundred years more, the civilization had reached the interstellar era. That was an achievement so rare in the history of the Planet Master System, but sadly Dian did not know about it. He only knew crucial information about the Planet Master’s duty as well.

At this time, a Message was sent from Tritis.

Dian saw a notification and then opened the Message List.

[Tritis: Are you currently developing your civilization in both Technology and Transcendent Tree?]

Dian saw it and then decided to reply truthfully. Even though the Planet Master System was suspiciously under the management of the Universe Council, some things needed to be conveyed in it; otherwise, it would be easy to arouse suspicion.

[Dian: Of course, Your Excellency. I can say that I have done it quite well.]

Tritis, on the golden palace and sitting on the golden throne, could not help but pout. According to the information that Tabitha had seen, the history of human civilization from the very First Star Battle to the current situation was only under Three Hundred Fifty Years.

That was so fast and they developed quite comprehensively in almost all aspects. Tritis would not believe it if she did not see things through Tabitha’s perspective.

[Tritis: So how’s your preparation for the Fourth Rank Star Battle? It is the special mode ones and I think that you will likely be involved in the Galaxy on Fire mode.]

[Dian: Well, I am sure preparing myself. But ultimately, I cannot let my civilization lag behind after all. Furthermore, I have to let my civilization digest some of their gains and change them into power from potential.]

Tritis understood what Dian meant by that. Apparently, He and his Star Children went into the Tower and Abyss Trial to introduce them to the wider world as well as to gain numerous rewards which would help their civilization.

That was why she did not state it in the chat message and only replied this.

[Tritis: Well, good luck in your endeavor.]

[Dian: I hope I only need luck. Because that is definitely abundant for me. But other than that, what should I prepare for the Star Battle Galaxy on Fire mode? Any good suggestions?]

Dian’s message was standard, which would not be put under much scrutiny.

[Tritis: Just develop the way you do until the peak possible for your civilization. That would be enough. The rest should be left to your Star Children and the civilization.]

[Dian: Understood. If you are giving that advice, then it should be useful.]

[Tritis: For more information, please meet at the usual place.]

[Dian: Thank you for helping me this much.]

[Tritis: But I should remind you that there will be additional people who want to contact you.]

When Dian read this message, he frowned slightly. On his throne, he sat with his legs crossed each other, his right leg above his left. He tapped the armrest with his index finger, but then the tap stopped.

Dian thought to himself.

The matter of the Undead Planet Masters was conveyed by Ghylea one day. Dian did not expect that his undead element development would catch the eye of the Undead Planet Masters.

Therefore, Ghylea was allowed to sell the advancement of the undead element transcendent for energy points. Those Undead Planet Masters had accumulated quite a lot of energy points, which Dian could use to his own purposes.

The moment Ghylea was permitted to go to the Universe Market by Dian’s permission, he was surrounded by the other Undead Planet Masters, asking for the price for the advancement of their races.

This commotion was then noticed by the other Planet Masters, who were then confused as to why the Undead Planet Masters, who were usually withdrawn and often went into the corner, surrounded one individual.

Then Ghylea stated a certain number of energy points for the information regarding the advancement method of the undead element transcendent and then the Undead Planet Masters all excitedly exchanged it for the large amount of energy points for a Third Rank Planet Master.

After returning, Ghylea was pleased and stood proudly in front of Dian while reporting on the number of energy points he had gained.

That was the past story, and now, Dian’s name was literally searched by the Undead Planet Masters all the time.

As for the Venerables who wanted to contact him, Dian thought about the Slayer Division as well as Jeliel from the Machina Race. They were the best units among the two Venerables, so he had expected the two to contact him.

Dian thought as he raised his eyebrow.

His relationship with Tritis was one of transaction. Dian would help her with the Outer Being, and she would help with his matter as he advanced as a Planet Master. For the other Venerables, though, He was not sure what kind of relationship he would have with them.

Dian thought, and then he sighed with helplessness.

To be honest, he did not dare to presume that the Venerables were as kind and understanding as Tritis. Therefore, he exercised caution and did not immediately open the Message from the others, not even bothering to see the sender.

But Dian realized that this was just avoiding an inevitable thing. So he decided to face it head-on. If it were Tatsumi, Charlene and Ame, they would face this problem head-on as well.

The first new messages came from various Undead Planet Masters, asking for the advancement information for those who were not there but found information about Dian through Ghylea.

The corner of Dian’s lips twitched but he felt a sense of pride and fondness for the Undead Planet Masters. They were just labeled low-potential because no one could let the Undead advance further. Now that there was a race that could use and advance the undead element transcendent, those Undead Planet Masters did not miss their chance to get to know Dian.

Furthermore, seeing Dian’s achievement in the [Forum] caused them to respect him even more.

Only then did they realize that Dian’s civilization had gained the Dragon Slayer achievement. The admiration from the Undead Planet Masters became more apparent as their own smaller yet united forum pages were filled with information about Dian.

As for the advancement method for the undead element, each Undead Planet Master had to pay for it. Therefore, they knew that this information was not to be made public quickly. They had reached a consensus not to publish the advancement method unless there was a more advanced method, for example, reaching the T5 standard Transcendent Tree.

For Dian, their responses to his sale of the advancement method felt like he was some sort of savior.

. Dian thought, and the corner of his lips turned down in disappointment.

Then he glanced around and saw Ghylea was happily arranging his race in the Undead Secret Realm. His undead fire flickered so joyfully that Dian realized it was the way this Undead Planet Master enjoyed himself in the face of the fact that the Undead Race had been developed so well.

To Ghylea, being developed to this extent was due to the human race, which could also wield the undead element.

Therefore, he could not hide his joy.

Dian turned back to his system panel and saw the messages coming from the others.

It was from the two Venerables who had sent their races’ best individuals to Tritis but unknowingly knew about him.

Dian also realized that the two Venerables could investigate things about him directly. Therefore, He had a need to greet them on the chat. The Universe Council might know about the investigation and even could connect it to him.

[Yuan: Hello, junior. I heard that you are famous among the Undead Planet Masters? I am glad that they finally have a chance to increase their power.]

The first message Dian saw this time came from Yuan. He saw that Yuan knew the latest situation and, strangely, felt happy that the Undead Race prospered.

Dian carefully selected his words before replying.

[Dian: Ah, Your Excellency knows about me. Thank you for your attention to me. Knowing that another Venerable is paying attention to me is a great honor.]

[Yuan: What great honor? You are capable, that’s all. I appreciate talent too, you know.]

Dian was surprised to see the message was replied. Did Venerable Yuan have the leisure time to reply to his message? According to his understanding, Venerable Yuan was on the Frontline dealing with the Outer Beings all the time.

But from his response, Dian could see that Venerable Yuan was actually quite nice, as if talking to an elder.

[Dian: I am honored to be receiving such praise. What is Your Excellency doing contacting me at this time?]

[Yuan: I just wanted to know about a talented junior. From the looks of it, you are really a capable Planet Master.]

Dian could naturally see between the lines. Venerable Yuan meant that his case was actually a special case by saying that he was a capable Planet Master. Dian knew that Venerable Yuan knew more about the anomaly of the human race.

That was why this contact happened under the guise of Tritis first contacting him.

[Dian: Once again, I am flattered that you notice me, Your Excellency.]

Then Yuan stopped replying. Dian sighed in relief. One hurdle was overcome but there was another hurdle he needed to overcome.

Then he replied to the message sent by Venerable Gorith. He was the Planet Master of the Machina Race at the peak of the T9 Technology Tree.

[Gorith: I am pleased to be able to contact you. You are an interesting Planet Master, and your race is even more interesting.]

Dian was flabbergasted by the message. He did not expect that Venerable Gorith would say such a thing. It felt as if he and his race contained some sort of secret.

But Dian still respectfully replied.

[Dian: Well, the same goes for you, Your Excellency. Your race is also interesting to know.]

[Gorith: Hahaha, perhaps. They are partly my creation so I know about them quite well. Anyway, the development of your race is interesting to look at, too. Your Achievements surely will be remembered by countless Planet Masters.]

[Dian: Right. Achievements can be seen by anyone on the Forum anyway, so I treat it as public information.]

Dian felt that Gorith was different from his impression of the Planet Master of the Machina Race. He let out an approachable persona, but Dian knew that was just part of Gorith’s personality and could not constitute his entire self.

After that, Dian and Gorith talked about the technological aspect of their races, learning from each other.

Dian discovered that Gorith truly lived up to his reputation as the peak of Technological Tree civilization. They had a pleasant discussion, and it was time to end it.

[Gorith: If you have any questions regarding the technological aspect, you can contact me.]

[Dian: No, I can’t just interrupt your precious time on the Frontline. This is it for now, Your Excellency.]

Dian ended the message. If they kept talking, Dian was afraid of revealing something more about him to the third party. Apparently, Gorith also realized this issue and did not pursue it further.

As the Hinon Federation had achieved interstellar travel, many people wanted to visit the other star systems, not just another planet. To them now, another planet felt like a neighboring house while the other star systems were truly the pioneering ground for them.

Therefore, there was a rush to go to the other star systems. But it also meant that the capacity of the spaceship going to those star systems became fully booked even for the next year.

The pioneering rush had begun, and not even the Hinon Federation could stop it. Since that was the case, the Federation just needed to create more spaceships to transport the people to the other star systems.

The reason for this was simple. It was for resources and for glory, simple as that but it became a powerful force that moved individuals from various races.

Therefore, Dian had to let the others manage the other star systems.

Mazdari’s task was exactly this. He needed to watch over the progress of the civilization forming colonies on the star system’s planets. If it were Life Planet, then the rush would be even more frenzied. If it were not a life-bearing planet, then they needed to bring the Terraforming Machine before forming a dome for the pioneers to live in.

“So far so good. Various races working together and in positive competitive spirits. The development is steady but increasing.” Mazdari saw the overall development and could not help but let out a voice as his beak opened.

But the guardian of the Federation fell into someone else.

“Speaking of which, I want to ask you something.” Chikara came to Mazdari since she needed her race’s biological spaceships to get to the star system where Mazdari was responsible for.

“What do you need?” Mazdari widened his eyes as he asked.

“It’s like this. The number of territories I need to manage has increased exponentially. I need more of my Glings to be active. So do you know a good life-bearing planet where I can develop my units?” Chikara said.

“The fifth planet from the star is suitable for your units to reproduce and increase your number. Why don’t you go there? The wilderness of that planet is something the pioneer has not been able to conquer due to insufficient supply. You can go there.” Mazdari answered with confidence.

“Really? Thank you.” Chikara then used her permission as an Auxiliary Planet Master to order her Queen to order the biological spaceships near the star system to come there, to the fifth planet from the star.

“No need for thanks. We are all colleagues. We need to support each other’s progress and also benefit Him.” Mazdari said as he glanced at Dian, who was sitting on the throne.

Chikara only nodded before she went to continue her duty.

Smirth, on the other hand, had to handle the most formidable star system since there was no life-bearing planet there, only dead planets.

“Hah, I guess my workload is the biggest.” Smirth sighed, he scratched his snout but he kept working on progressing the pioneer there.

The pioneer formed a Resident Dome temporarily while installing a Terraforming Machine to change the dead planet into one suitable for life to grow.

Every single planet in his star system was inhabited by the pioneers' Resident Dome as well as a Terraforming Machine. The transformation into a suitable planet varied on the condition of the planet itself.

Some needed only a few years of the Terraforming Machine’s adjustment, while some would take decades due to the planet’s extreme condition.

“But this means that my progress will be slower than the others.” Smirth already considered this and could not help much more since this was the limit of what he could do without excessive interference.

Smirth also knew that the T4 Technology Tree was developing well, already reaching the end of the early stages of T4, going to the middle of the Technology Tree. The middle of the Technology Tree was actually the Artificial Black Hole generator.

According to Dian, this was the reward from the Tower and Abyss Trial that the Star Children and the individuals from the civilization had to participate in.

Smirth was glad that he could witness the power of the human race at developing things. He saw that several Lizardmen were actually involved in the civilization's progress of creating many new technological breakthroughs.

Therefore, he as their Planet Master needed to work hard for their and his own sake.

Frie, on the other hand, received news that a great transformation had occurred in the Elf race. Therefore, she watched the overall development and found the reason why.

[The Elf race has developed its own preservation of its legacy as well as creating its own academy.]

Frie felt so happy that she let out tears of happiness. This was what she wanted to see. The development of her race was paramount and now they paid her with this development, causing the Elf race to take a great leap forward.
