219- Star Battle Mode : Galaxy On Fire

219- Star Battle Mode : Galaxy On Fire

After the report meeting was done, Dian then proceeded to the next step. That was, reporting things to the races in reality. As usual, Dian sent a message to his Star Children to have a meeting in the Library of Consciousness. Then he also let the Nafs in the Library of Consciousness gather at the designated place.

After all of that was done, it was time for him to manifest in the Library of Consciousness.

“It is said that the Father God wants to have a meeting here, along with you all. Have all the necessary people gathered here?” Tatsumi tallied everyone who was needed and asked this of them.

“According to my sense, everyone important to the Cloud Legion has gathered.” From one of the farthest hills, Smagenrog’s voice reverberated.

Their current location in the Library of Consciousness was on the flatlands near the city, and the hills on the southeast were where Smagenrog was lying down, stomach touching the top of the hill.

“Is that so?” Tatsumi also used his senses and checked everyone. After that was done, he found out that what Smagenrog said was true, and he nodded with satisfaction.

“Since we are all here, let’s start the meeting.” Ame said with seriousness befitting her position as the Third Star Child as well as the inheritor of the Mikazuki family’s business.

Then as if on cue, Dian appeared in his form. He looked around and felt that everyone’s gaze was on him. Dian nodded, signaling for the meeting to begin.

“We can begin. So the first issue about the next Star Battle is that it is a special mode and your potential opponent is not just one civilization but multiple. But it also means that there are potential allies among them too. In short, it all depends on the Hinon Federation on how to proceed.” Dian began by saying this.

Tatsumi put his index finger on his head. Ame had a thoughtful look, while the others had a contemplative look about how to give this information to the civilization.

“First question, Father God.” Goto was the first one to raise a question.

“Speak.” Dian gave permission.

“What is this mode of Star Battle you talk about? What is the victory condition? I am sorry to interrupt but this is important to all of us.”

Dian had an appreciative look and smiled.

“Good question. The mode of the Star Battle is called the Galaxy on Fire mode. As you would expect, there will be a Rift that connects your current territory to the star system of random places in the galaxy chosen and permitted. That place will be your battlefield where you contest against other civilizations with deities.” Dian explained slowly.

Then he continued, “As for the victory condition, there are four, but you only need to accomplish one to achieve victory. ‘Conquest’: you need to have at least half the galaxy as your territory. This is not easy since the other civilization will not let you expand freely. And there are more than one civilization that might oppose yours.

“Second is ‘Diplomacy’. There will be a thing called United Galaxy. This is the same as when the Cerulean Planet is in the midst of a power struggle between nations and countries, and then forms an organization to unite all nations. This time, it is the union in which several civilizations are contesting to wrest control of the organization. But this is in the middle to late stage of the Star Battle, so this is an option for you.

“Third is ‘Scientific’. As expected, it is actually the condition where you reach the very pinnacle of your current Technology Tree section. In the standard that I and the other deities used, it is called the T4 Technology section. You are currently in the late T4 Technology Tree, so there will be an opportunity for you to increase your technology tree through Scientific Inheritance in the galaxy of the Star Battle.

“Fourth is ‘Transcendence’. Same as the Scientific but this is on the Transcendent Tree development instead. You all will also get the opportunity to encounter Transcendent Heritage there.”

Dian explained the four victory conditions, and everyone thought about it but they only needed to accomplish one victory condition to pass. Furthermore, they realized that this was a battle against time. Expansion came later for the purpose of better chance at getting the Scientific Inheritance and Transcendent Heritage and translating them into improvements in the Technology and Transcendent Tree.

As for Conquest, that actually was a last resort. Not everyone could expand so quickly without stabilizing the territory that they had conquered and the other civilizations and Planet Masters would not let one expand so largely.

This was going to be a game of checks and balances, provided that there was little to no difference in strength.

Everyone sharply inhaled; they realized quickly what the most important thing was to do during this special mode of Star Battle.

“That is good information. We should prepare for this eventuality.” Tatsumi, with a serious look, nodded and put his hand down while looking at Ame and the three forefathers for further ideas.

“Hmm, but this is just the basics, and the next is my own interpretation on some things, so just use it as reference,” Dian said.

He continued, “There is something in the Galaxy on Fire Star Battle mode called Calamity. They are what will endanger the entire galaxy and probably disturb the delicate balance that you all are thinking about. Just beware of something that will threaten the entire galaxy no matter in what form.”

Everyone present also knew the severity of the thing called ‘Calamity’. And from the tone in which Dian had said it, it seemed that this was one where the need to unite the entire galaxy came from.

“Thank you for the reference, Father God.” Ame seemed to think of something and thanked Dian for the latest information.

“It’s just my own thought about the keyword. It will be you who have to work toward the goal of achieving the victory condition.” Dian said with a humble tone.

But he added, “It’s okay if you are defeated this time. At most, you will stagnate in the progress of Technology and Transcendent aspect. Even in the case of defeat, our race can at most retreat to the current territory. As it is a safe zone in which even the other civilizations will not attack.”

Hearing that, everyone’s pressure decreased significantly. But at the same time, determination appeared in their core.

‘Stagnation means death. Those who thought that this is safe and can retry later are just appeasing themselves from the cruel reality.’ Tatsumi knew this for a fact. Therefore, this Star Battle would decide whether they rose to the occasion or lost and became stagnant and faced spiritual death.

He looked at Ame as she also looked at him. They saw the seriousness in each other’s eyes and expression.

'Looks like he also knows about the main issue here.' Ame thought as she took a deep breath and formulated a general plan for the Hinon Federation to fight the other civilizations.

“But Father God, stagnation means death no matter how you look at it. This is killing us spiritually.” Chi You protested.

Even he knew that spiritual death meant stagnation and a waste of time. He had experienced this himself, so he knew it intimately. For him, being like that was no different than a loser. That was why he cried out indignantly.

“That’s true. Perhaps that is the true test. To keep developing despite one’s defeat and keep striving toward higher rank. Those who are content with just being alive are really missing out on the biggest reward, the development of their spiritual aspect.” The corner of Dian’s mouth lifted as he said this, facing Chi You.

“Don’t be stagnant. Keep developing despite one’s setback is the biggest reward you all can give to me.” Dian softly said.

This was his honest thought. Seeing everyone develop and grow was the greatest joy he could feel.

Tatsumi felt related to that and sniffed with pride. Despite being successful on the surface, he faced countless failures and even setbacks, which his wives comforted him for each time. Tatsumi also comforted his wives when they faced significant setbacks and failures.

To be able to learn something that made them close to the source of reality was so addictive and enjoyable that everyone who had tasted it wanted to get more.

“Thank you for your words. It means a lot to us.” Ame held back her tears and replied to Dian’s words.

“I guess that is undeniable.” Smagenrog opened his golden eyes at the crowd in the distance.

Tatsumi then comforted Ame and they could see relief and satisfaction on each other’s faces.

“Then we need to formulate the general plan for each victory condition.” Kudungga said to move the topic to this important issue.

One by one, everyone started giving their own opinion on the victory condition needed. Of the four, the most likely to be reached was actually the Transcendent ones. The other three could take the second position since their priority was on the Transcendence victory condition.

This was because the development of the Transcendent Tree was going the smoothest in the civilization, already reaching the peak of T3 human standard. All the Transcendent had to do was walk the path.

But still, they formulated the plan in case the Transcendent one was not achieved. This was thorough planning by everyone. Ame and Tatsumi were also giving in their feedback on the civilization’s situation to optimize the plans.

Then the general plan was formed.

The plan was to expand as much as possible, blitzing through numerous star systems as much as possible. This was because with each additional star system, there would be resources to be used for battle.

But to do that, they needed more manpower, which they were lacking. To bolster the manpower, they needed to include the undead as well as the construction of the large industrial bases to help with that.

Therefore, the need for more construction for robotics increased dramatically. Although the civilization had advanced by leaps and bounds, they still could not break through the barrier of artificial intelligence.

But for the humans, it was fine, as that meant there would not be a problem if the artificial intelligence was severely affected, since their usage was in the entertainment industry as well as commercial.

At most, they needed to fall back to their usual tactic of handling things themselves.

As of now, the current civilization had entered a mixed-digital era where digital products were shown alongside physical products. They could be interlinked, and that caused the convenience of things in everyday life.

Dian also reviewed the civilization's capability for long-term combat, from logistics to the weapons used as well as the spaceships available. Overall, they could dominate one-on-one and hold well against two.

Dian thought solemnly. This was a challenge that his civilization had to face in the Star Battle.

“I can hear what you say. So we need to find allies with whom we can trust our backs. Is that the gist of it?” Ame noted it down in her mind and placed importance on it.

“But to find them is not so easy. Perhaps in the galaxy we are being sent into, there are natural civilizations.” Tatsumi said while looking at Dian for confirmation.

“Well, there probably are. After all, it is a place to test the civilization’s worthiness to reach higher rank.” Dian had to admit that there was possibility of that truly the case. Because only when there were natural civilizations could the Star Battle be more complicated, which the Universe Council would like to see.

“So we need to rope them in to become our allies. It is more reliable than letting other civilizations like ours be our allies. Because they also need to reach the victory condition too, their inevitable betrayal will likely hinder us the most.” Ame planned things out and pointed out the advantage of doing so.

The plan was slowly formed and finalized. Dian felt that the cooperation between the living and those in the Library of Consciousness was so beautiful and touching that he was glad to have this Afterlife Model.

-

After the plan was finalized, Tatsumi announced the general plan for the next Star Battle. The higher-ups of the Hinon Federation agreed to execute the plan as quickly as possible while also pushing the development of Technological and Transcendent aspects.

Everyone who knew Tatsumi supported the plan he had told them. Ame immediately went to use her family’s influence and strength to be part of the plan while Charlene quickly finished some of her projects and finalized the technology needed to reach the late T4 Technology Tree.

Long Wu was gearing the Undead Race along with Zhask.

The Queen of the Gling was accumulating resources before spending them to create more units, even Primarch species.

The Elf Race was also preparing its members to participate since this was going to be an extremely large war and every race should participate.

Even the Merfolk and the Crustacean also participated with the development of the Water Stability Bubble, which allowed them to go to land and areas without water safely and kept on living and doing things.

That was happening on the Hinon Federation’s territory.

What happened on the Planet Master Space was a different thing. Right after finishing the plan in the Library of Consciousness, Dian went to the Planet Master Space to finalize the plan and let the others know about the general plan that the civilization would execute.

“The final preparations are underway as scheduled.” Frie said.

“How about the supply lines? The logistics?” Mazdari asked.

“Taken care of.” Leif gave a thumbs-up as he grinned.

“The other races are mobilizing their forces to be ready to march at any time.” Smirth commented.

“That is good. Everyone can now fully participate in the Star Battle from now on. No one is left behind.” Dian nodded with satisfaction at the comments.

Even the Giants, which were big enough now, could be fully fit into a spaceship using a Size-Adjustment Flashlight. That was the technology to change the size of the object. But the ones used on the Giants were modified to make sure that the Giants were not harmed in the process.

Of course, for the Giants Transcendent, there was no need since they could change their body sizes at will after reaching Revolutionary Realm.

“How about our military forces? Are they ready to embark?” Dian asked.

“They are ready!” For the military aspect, it was Chikara’s turn to speak. She had an excited gleam in her eyes and her wings of blade extended and expanded.

“I mean, the entire civilization’s military power has been ready for some time.” Chikara added.

Dian closed his eyes. He calculated the timing and the preparation of the entire civilization to go to the Star Battle. General Mobilization had been done for the next Star Battle.

“Then let’s go; we don’t need to waste any more time.” Dian glanced at the other system panels where the Transcendent Tree and the Technology Tree were radiantly spreading so far and wide, reaching the late part of their respective segment.

Dian willed it and the Planet Master System read his intention.

[The Planet Master has initiated Star Battle]

[The Planet Master has entered the Fourth Rank, adjusting…]

[It is detected that the Planet Master Dian has fulfilled the qualification to enter the Star Battle mode: Galaxy on Fire.]

[Requirements fulfilled.]

[Waiting for the other Planet Masters to be matched…]

[Matching successful.]

[Star Battle Mode: Galaxy on Fire has selected a suitable galaxy for your Star Battle.]

[There will be a Rift on your Mother Planet connecting your civilization to the galaxy which is used for the Star Battle.]

[Warning: It is detected that there is a Calamity in the galaxy. Planet Masters, please prioritize safety first.]

[The win conditions are being generated and adjusted in real-time to the Planet Masters.]

[The Universe Council wishes every participating Planet Master luck.]

Dian and the others then felt a strange occurrence in the space near the Cerulean Planet. Then a huge Rift appeared around a hundred thousand kilometers in width and fifty thousand kilometers in height.

Seeing this, Dian quickly informed everyone about this so that the military power could be concentrated on the Cerulean Planet.

Tatsumi was connecting to every single colony and the territory of the Federation when this happened so he could quickly order the others to gather at the Cerulean Planet.

The military spaceships, one by one, entered Warp Drive, heading toward the homeworld to participate in the Star Battle. As for the rest, they were into logistics and supplies. Of course, there were also some scientists group who were interested in exploring, along with adventurers who sought to pioneer new grounds.

Everyone was busy with the flow of supply lines that had to gather at the Cerulean Planet, but they were proud and glad that the Rift appeared on the Mother Planet.

Then everyone on the civilization mobilized their military power available, logistics ready to make supplies while the supply lines were drawn from the Cerulean Planet and the other planets on the Virya Star System as well as from several others star system.

After that, the General Mobilization could bolster the number of military spaceships to Four Thousand Spaceships in total. Three thousand of them were pure military, while the last thousand were the scientific team specifically used to learn about the environment in the galaxy where they would do the Star Battle as well as learning about other civilizations with their own deities.

This was important since they would eventually meet and become enemies with each other.
